Ideal for: anyone with no aptitude for
intelligent work.
Job Specifications: You stand on your feet for the entire day, washing bin
after bin of dirty clothes and beddings in potentially hazardous chemicals.
Since you’re just a trainee you get the jobs nobody wants, like the hospital
beddings, where you need to push your arms elbow-deep into a pile of sheets
stained with blood, pus, and brain matter.
Drawbacks: You get minimum wage, with no hazard pay, and complaining to
the authorities won’t do much good—especially if you’re an illegal
immigrant. Best to keep your mouth shut (which, given the fumes in the room,
isn’t that hard to do), and find really good moisturizer for your hands.
After submerging them in all those chemicals for the better of the day,
you’re bound to get a few wrinkles.
Perks: Well your mother always said you should learn to do your own
laundry.
